DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE, (ST)- Prime Minister Imad Khamis has stressed that the victories of the Syrian Arab army over terrorism in most areas in the country have led to the return of the Syrians from abroad.

"The return of Syrians home through border crossings and Damascus International Airport is the result of the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab army," Khamis told reporters on Sunday at the Jdeidet Yabous center at the Syrian-Lebanese borders where he was on a visit to inspect measure adopted to facilitate the return of displaced Syrians home in the light of the notable increase in the number of the Syrian returnees.

The Premier reiterated that the Syrian state has assumed its responsibilities towards all citizens who left the country because of terrorism, noting relentless government efforts to facilitate their return to their homeland.

According to officials at the center, 10.000 Syrian nationals arrive daily at the Jdeidet Yabous border crossing in order to return to Syria.
