Haftar: Turkish regime continues to convey terrorists from northern Syria to Libya

Tripoli (ST): The Commander of the Libyan army General Khalifa Haftar said that the Turkish regime continued to convey its mercenary terrorists from northern Syria to Libya capitalizing on the interim ceasefire.

Interviewed by Sputnik news agency, Haftar said that the Turkish regime was violating the resolutions taken by Berlin International Conference which affirmed the necessity for  halting foreign interventions in Libya's internal affairs.

He added that Erdogan's regime in cooperation with al-Wifaq government have been exploiting the interim ceasefire to convey large numbers of Turkish soldiers and mercenary terrorists from northern Syria to Libya violating Berlin Conference resolutions, stressing that the Libyan army has the right to confront the Turkish invasion of Libya.

Haftar called on the UN and the Security Council to shoulder their responsibilities and halt the influx of Erdogan's mercenaries and weapons to Tripoli.

Erdogan has been ignoring the international efforts being exerted to resolve the crisis in Libya, especially the Berlin Conference which affirmed the necessity of halting external interference in Libya's internal affairs and resolving the crisis through political channels.
