Medvedev: It is unacceptable for Washington to control the global Internet networks

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stressed today that it is unacceptable for the United States to control global Internet networks.

"The United States is in full control of the Internet management system and the definition of IP addresses," Sputnik quoted Medvedev as saying during today's meeting.

The CIA is seeking to use Internet broadcasting services to recruit spies from young men between the ages of 18 and 35, as the Russian judiciary last June sentenced an American citizen to 16 years in prison after being convicted of spying in Russia.
