President Al-Assad discusses with Russian delegation bilateral work to reach solution to problems caused by sanctions

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ President Bashar Al-Assad received on Thursday the Russian President's Special Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev and the accompanying delegation. 
The talks during the meeting dealt with issues of common interest, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA). 
The agency said that the two sides asserted their determination to continue bilateral cooperation and to exert efforts to reach solutions to all problems that have been caused by the policies of some western countries against Syria. 

President Al-Assad chairs the Cabinet meeting

On Tuesday President Bashar Al-Assad chaired  the cabinet meeting and clarified  several issues related to services which are important to citizens. 
The president pointed out that the laws and legislations, which were issued recently for the interest of the citizens, prove that there is nothing impossible. 
“If we are unable to resolve all problems, we can resolve part of them,” he added.
President Al-Assad talked about the currency war where  the Syrian government made unprecedented achievements. 

President Al-Assad, Mrs. Asama Al-Assad return to work normally after end of quarantine period

Damascus, (ST) - The Presidency of the Republic announced on Tuesday that President Bashar Al-Assad and Mrs. Asma al-Assad have returned to work normally on Tuesday after the symptoms of Covid-19 had disappeared.

News published by the Presidency of the Republic on Facebook, mentioned that after the end of the quarantine period, and the disappearance of Covid-19 symptoms, the negative PCR swabs that were conducted for them, President Bashar Al-Assad and Mrs. Asma Al-Assad returned today to their work normally, and they wish for speedy recovery to all patients.

On March 8th, the Presidency of the Republic announced that President Al-Assad and Mrs. Asma Al-Assad were infected with the coronavirus and that they were in a good health, and stable condition.

President Al-Assad orders securing 25 tons of oxygen as a first batch of aid to Lebanon amid coronavirus crisis

President Bashar Al-Assad has ordered securing 25 tons of oxygen as a first batch of medical aid to Lebanon amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis in the country.

Syria’s Health Minister Hassan Al-Ghabash met on Wednesday with Lebanon’s Caretaker Minister of Public Health Hamad Hassan to discuss the crisis that resulted from the vast outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic in Lebanon.

In a press conference following the meeting, Al-Ghabbash said that Syria will provide Lebanon with 75 tons of oxygen over three days in a way that doesn’t affect the availability of oxygen in Syria.

On his part, the Lebanese minister thanked President Al-Assad for the fraternal and responsible response which will help in saving the lives of many Lebanese, stressing that “we have shared many honorable stances, and today we are sharing the battle against the corona epidemic”.

He said that “after the Lebanese hospitals have run out of oxygen, we requested oxygen supplies from the Syrian health Ministry and the response was very quick.”

President Al-Assad and his wife recovering from COVID-19

The health condition of President Bashar Al-Assad and the First Lady, Mrs. Asma Al-Assad, is gradually getting better as they are in the phase of recovery from COVID-19, the Syrian Presidency announced on Wednesday.

In news posted on its facebook account, the presidency said citing the national medical team supervising the treatment process that “nine days after President Al-Assad and Mrs. Asma were infected with the COVID-19 virus, the laboratory and radiological indicators of their health condition are gradually returning to their normal values and they are reassuring.”

The team stressed that that they are in the recovery phase.
