Operating a flight to evacuate Syrian students and citizens stranded in India

Damascus (ST): The Ministry of Transport announced the operation of a flight onboard Syrian Airlines to evacuate students and Syrian citizens stranded in India, on Sunday, July 11, 2021, according to the precautionary procedures and conditions specified by the Ministry of Health.

The commercial director of the Syrian Airlines Company, Louay Hassan, said in a statement that the plane will take off from New Delhi Airport at 5.20 am local time and arrive at Damascus International Airport at 7.50 amlocal time.

Hassan pointed out that in order to facilitate the burdens, the families of any student and citizen stuck in India can come to the company’s offices in Damascus and the rest of the provinces, starting from Saturday, July 3, to pay the value of travel tickets in Syrian pounds in accordance with the instructions of the Central Bank of Syria and the list of names sent from the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in New Delhi.
