Syrian Airlines plane designated to evacuate Syrians stuck in India arrives Damascus

A Syrian Airlines plane that evacuated Syrian citizens and students stuck in India arrived on Sunday morning at Damascus International Airport.

The commercial director of the Syrian Airlines Corporation, Louay Hassan, said in a statement to SANA that the plane that arrived this morning from India, Delhi, transported 208 passengers.

Hassan added that the evacuation process was carried out in implementation of government directives that included the return of those stranded in India due to the Corona pandemic.

The government team concerned with measures to address the Coronavirus epidemic called during its last meeting to take the necessary measures to return Syrian citizens stranded abroad, with full care to implement public safety requirements and preventive measures.
