The Ministry of Interior calls on Syrian citizens stranded abroad to register requests for return at the Syrian embassies

 The Ministry of Interior called on Syrian citizens wishing to return to Syria to communicate with the Syrian embassies in (Cairo, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Amman, Kuwait, Khartoum, Manama, Moscow, Algeria and Baghdad) to register their request to return to it.

The Ministry stated in a statement today that this procedure will allow the special government team to prepare the Syrian flights program as part of the government's efforts to return Syrian citizens stuck abroad.

The Ministry noted that upon arrival at Damascus International Airport, the citizens would be allowed to return to their homes after conducting a corona test and staying at the Ebla Sham Hotel in exchange for an additional $ 200 on the plane ticket.

Syrian community in Germany, solidarity associations rally in protest against "Caesar Act"

FRANKFURT, (ST)- Some Syrian and German solidarity associations as well as members of the Syrian community in Germany and a number of German supporters organized on Saturday a rally to protest against the so-called "Caesar Act" through  which the United States imposes tougher coercive economic measures on Syria.

Dozens of participants, who gathered in the main square of the German city of Frankfurt, raised the Syrian flag, carried pictures of President Bashar al-Assad and chanted slogans condemning the US sanctions and expressing solidarity with the Syrian people in confrontation of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by western colonialist states.

Health Ministry: As of Aug 22nd, two flights weekly will be conducted from Damascus International Airport to evacuate Syrians stranded abroad

Damascus, (ST) - The Ministry of Health announced that the government team concerned in confronting Coronavirus (COVID-19) has decided to conduct two flights weekly from Damascus International Airport to evacuate Syrian citizens stranded abroad.

The Ministry on Wednesday said in a statement two flights will be conducted weekly from Damascus International Airport as of next Saturday, Aug 22nd to evacuate Syrians stranded abroad while taking all preventive measures.

The ministry indicated that those arriving through Damascus International Airport will stay at the Ebla Hotel until the results of the "PCR" analysis for detecting Coronavirus infection are issued.

The Syrian Community in Russia voices support for their country

Members  of the Syrian community in Russia reaffirmed their support to  their  country in confronting the hostile schemes targeting Syria’s firm stances. 

During their meeting  on Friday with the Syrian Ambassador to  Russia Dr. Riyad Haddad  on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha,  members of the community expressed their  determination to exert relentless  efforts and capabilities to preserve  Syria’s national stances  and sovereignty . 

On his part ,   Ambassador Haddad stressed that the unilateral economic coercive measures imposed by the  US  on Syria and the so-called “Caesar’s act “   are only a continuation of the war  against Syria after the us  failed to achieve its goals. He  indicated that Syria’s enemies are trying to impose political and economic options on it and continue to support terrorist organizations..

Syrian plane arrives in Damascus coming from the UAE with 261 Syrians onboard

Damascus, (ST):  A plane affiliated to the  Syrian Airlines has arrived in Damascus International Airport coming from Sharjah airport in the UAE  with 261 Syrians onboard The move comes in implementation   of the measures adopted  by the Syrian government to bring back the Syrians stuck abroad in light of the spread of the coronavirus.

The passengers were transported to the quarantine center at al-Hurjalleh in Damascus countryside where they will  remain there for 14 days to make sure they are not infected from coronavirus.
