Syrian Communities and Students Worldwide Call for Lifting Brutal Economic Siege on Syria

 CAPITALS, (ST)-Under the slogan "Lift the Brutal Siege on Syria", the Branches of the National Union of Syrian Students and the Syrian communities in the world on Saturday staged sit-ins in front of the headquarters of the European Union diplomatic missions in several capitals of the world to protest the siege imposed on Syria.

The sit-ins were held in Austria, Egypt, India, Russia, Cuba, Algeria, Spain, Malyazia, Lebanon, Belgium, Sudan, Slovakia, Romania, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Tunisia, Germany and Poland.

The sit-inners called for putting an end to the economic blockade unjustly imposed on Syria.

Handicraft Products in the Syrian Charitable Bazaar in Lagos

LAGOS-The Syrian charitable bazaar was inaugurated at the Syrian National Club in Lagos, the economic capital of Nigeria.

According to SANA, this event comes in cooperation between  the Syrian Embassy in Abuja and members of the Syrian community represented by the social committee of the Syrian club and the committee of the Syrian women society.

The bazaar displays a large number of Syrian industrial and handicraft products like sweets ,foods,  mosaic, Aghbani, traditional jewelry, brass etc.. In addition to hand-made industries,  some of which produced by craftsmen and Syrian women living inside Syria ,and others by Syrian women living in Lagos and the surrounding city.

From Argentina, Syrian expatriates visit Syria, tour tourist attractions

Damascus - A group of the Syrian expatriates in Argentina has visited Syria and toured the tourist attractions in it.

After the US-British-French tripartite aggression on Syria, the expatriates do not only condemned the aggression, but decided to come on a trip to their homeland, although some did not visit it at all, SANA reported.

The visit aimed to express the expatriates’ stand by their country and families, introduce Syria’s civilization to the world and to face the distorted ideas broadcast by the Western media outlets about it.

Several MPs Brief Syrian Students in Serbia on Recent Developments in Country

The Syrian Members of Parliament, who took part in the 138th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held on March 24-28 in Geneva, visited Serbia and met with the Syrian students there. The MPs briefed the students on victories being achieved by the Syrian army and allies against foreign-backed terrorist organizations in the country.

According to a press release sent by the People’s Assembly (PA) to the Syriatimes e-newspaper, the meeting held at the Syrian embassy in Serbia aimed at briefing the Syrian students, who are studying in Serbian universities, about the current developments in the country, including Syrian army’s victories in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and congratulating them on the Arab Student Day.

Syrian Expatriate Raises Syrian Flag at Summit of Pico Naiguata

CARACAS– Syrian expatriate Silvana Bitar reached the summit of Pico Naiguata, one of the highest mountain peaks in Venezuela, to tell the world that Syria will stay at the top and a beacon for the world, SANA reported

"My love for Syria has left no room for fear and retreat, so I was able to overcome all the challenges that I faced, including storms, fog, and the possibility of being lost in difficult terrain,” Silvana told SANA about her trip to scale Pico Naiguata, which has a summit elevation of 2,765 meters above sea level.
