Syria wins seven medals in Wrestling

Baghdad  - Syria’s wrestling team won seven medals (4 gold and 3 silver) in Wrestling at the  Junior Arab Championship 2019  that is currently held in Iraq.

Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan and Morocco participated in the competition.

Mohammed Asad al-Din al-Osta (60 kg cat), Mohammed Fawaz (63 kg), Ali Nshiwati (92 kg) and Ammar Abu Alika (130 kg) won the gold medals, while Bahaa al-Nakdali (55 kg), Hilal Qamzani (72kg) and Hani Qamzani (77 kg) harvested the silver medals. 

It is to be mentioned that Syria’s wrestling junior team harvested ten medals (three gold, five silver and two bronze) in the same Championship.

Al-Wahda beats Al-Jaish and Tishreen tied with Al-Nawa’r in the first round of the Syrian Football League

Al-Wahda football team beat Al-Jaish football team (1-0) in the first round of the Syrian League at Al-Fayhaa’ football playground.

Moe’yad al-Khouli scored (40th min) for Al-Wahda the only goal in the game and Moe’yad Ajjan wasted a penalty for Al-Wahda (60th min).

In Aleppo, Al-Ittihad football team tied with Al-Wathba football team (1-1).

Mohammad Kabash scored first for Al-Ittihad (75th min), while Burhan Suhyoun scored for Al-Wathba (95th min).

Syria wins bronze medal on 1st day of the 2019 Military World Games

Beijing - Syrian equestrian Humam Shehab won the bronze medal on the first day of the 2019 Military World Games that currently held in China.

56 equestrians participated in the competition.

Syria harvests 10 medals in Wrestling

Baghdad - Syria’s junior wrestling team won ten medals (three gold, five silver and two bronze) in Wrestling Junior Arab Championship 2019 which was held in Sulaymaniyah city in Iraq.

Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan and Morocco participated in the competition.

Ali Nshiwati (92 kg cat, freestyle) won the gold medal, while Abdullah Hashish (48 kg) , Abdul Rahim Fawaz (45 kg), Mahmoud Sarghaye (55 kg), Ibrahim al-Tabbaa (60 kg) and Ahmed Deiraki (71 kg) won the silver medals.  Also, Omar al-Khaledi (65 kg) won a bronze medal.

Ali Nshiwati (92 kg Greco-Roman) and Mohammed al-Obaid (65 kg Greco-Roman) won gold medal each, while Baha al-Nakdali (55 kg) won a bronze medal.

Syria harvests 2 bronze medals in Muay Thai Arab Championship

Abu Dhabi – Syria’s team won two bronze medals at the Muay Thai Arab Championship that was held in UAE.

 More than 100 players representing 15 countries participated in this competition.

Ali Hafez (57 kg) won the first bronze medal while the second one went to Ola Al-Shaar (60 kg).
